November Sketches

Here are some of my recent sketches in my Moleskine sketchbook.

Using Pen and ink, gouache and rubber stamps.
These pictures aren't as vibrant as the actual ones.....could have used some photo editing.
***These next three images were added after publishing this post.

But at least you get the point. I hope you get some creative time too.

Black & White with Gouache On Top

I adore my Moleskine sketchbook and here is another adventure in my current one.
Start with black stamping, stenciling and doodling. The butterfly was a cut out of clip art.
My favorite paint. #GouacheLove
The whole page covered now wait for it to dry.
Next an encounter with my trusty waterbrush, can I just say.....I've had this one for about 12 years. It truly is a remarkable tool.
Waterbrush used in various places and then a tissue to soak up and remove the paint.

The lovely tissue in the aftermath....I seriously considered collaging with them but then I got control of myself.
Add some colorful paint accents.
Black and white scribbling.......
Now the Instagram picture.  Which you can follow me here...thank you very much...

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you were inspired.

Happy Halloween 2014

I know it IS  November 2, but here it is anyway.
My ghost stamps carved and ready to make some spooky impressions.
I sketched out some different guys to see who was to be carved.
This first ghoul seemed a bit scarier in the drawing on the right. But....that's how he came to life for me.

Then I decided to carve two more smaller yet different ones,
the one in the center-top disturbs me a bit, not sure why.
Well, okay one more small random little rascal ghost.
Next they were stamped on watercolor paper, masking fluid on top of them. Painted and stamped background......

Then I added some orange hues and white accents to these ghosts.

This painting below, the ghosts stayed white and the sky didn't get stamped.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are still enjoying the haunts of this  Halloween weekend.
